Preliminary Work - Recall Act
An attempt to establish a think-tank group in 2003, The Club of Ontario, to discuss and debate Binding Referenda and Recall, did not materialize due to unforeseen circumstances. Simultaneously, Mr. Toby Barrett, MPP introduced a private member's bill, 4 December 2003, an Act to amend the Election Act respecting the Recall of Members of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Mr. Barrett moved second reading of the bill, Thursday 8 April 2004 when it was "lost".
